  • WELCOME!

You found me! I started business in September 2009 after working with newborns for 6 months but wanting something more. I wanted the freedom to flex my creative muscle and also do more than just newborns! Almost 6 years later I'm back at where I started, specializing in newborns but adding kids and families in there too :) I have pulled away from weddings and workshops (which I started teaching in 2011 across the country) now that we are expecting baby #5! Ever since the day I started, even before calling myself a business, I have worked at bettering myself through various mediums of continuing education in my field. I believe that no matter how long you've been perfecting your craft, no matter who you are, you are never done learning, and you will never know everything :)

I'm a mother to 4 beautiful little girls, and have been married to my high school sweetheart since July 2009. I am a mother, and I am a photographer. But I am not a "mom with a camera". I am a photographer who also has children ;) I take my job- my CAREER, very seriously and respect the industry in everything I do. I'm also a pretty bad blogger, so that will explain why it's constantly out of date, but I try!! :)

Connect with me on Facebook to stay up to date with session sneak peeks and vital information. Thanks for stopping by!

    xoxo

Selah turns 1!

Selah was another past workshop model, turned repeat client and I was so beyond excited. Shortly after receiving their workshop images, Rachel contacted me to book a first year plan for Selah. I did her 6 month, and then now, her 1 year! Since it was winter, we did them in the studio. She was beyond cute and loved her cake!! I loved the color scheme. We rocked it:)

1:1 Newborn Mentoring Workshop with Jenae

Jenae came to see me toward the beginning of February for a 1:1 mentoring workshop. We worked with 2 beautiful babies- first a little girl, and then a chunky little guy with his gorgeous mama:)

At this point in time, I’m no longer offering workshops aside from what is scheduled remaining this year. If you would like information on those, check out the blog posts for the Nashville workshop on June 3, or the Chicago workshop on August 5. That’s all that remains with open seats!

January Mentoring Sessions x2

Aside from traveling to Houston to teach workshops, I also taught 2 1:1 mentoring sessions in my studio. First I got to work with Joanna, and then Savannah (who came clear from Georgia to work with me!) We had amazing models both times and the sessions went great:)

Baby Zayley- she was our “live in model” for the day when I worked with Joanna:)

And this sweet little girl visited too! I’m terrible at remembering model names. I need to put it into my application/release forms for them to enter the name. Lol! I remembered Zayley’s because I know her mom personally:)

Then Savannah came to visit and she was just such a sweetheart! We had this handsome little guy first- he slept really well for the beanbag stuff but after that- he looked at me like I was kidding when I asked him to sleep. Haha!!:)

Then this gorgeous girl came to visit and luckily, slept like a rock:)So we got everything covered!

Brayden, 1 Year

A year ago, I photographed Brayden as a newborn when he was one of my workshop models! I was super excited when his mom emailed me a few months later to book a session for his 1 year. It’s always an honor when workshop models, whose sessions are free, come back for a paid session later on. It just means the world to me! His big brother came along too- such a handsome, flirty little boy:)

He enjoyed his cake, just a little bit:)
