  • WELCOME!

You found me! I started business in September 2009 after working with newborns for 6 months but wanting something more. I wanted the freedom to flex my creative muscle and also do more than just newborns! Almost 6 years later I'm back at where I started, specializing in newborns but adding kids and families in there too :) I have pulled away from weddings and workshops (which I started teaching in 2011 across the country) now that we are expecting baby #5! Ever since the day I started, even before calling myself a business, I have worked at bettering myself through various mediums of continuing education in my field. I believe that no matter how long you've been perfecting your craft, no matter who you are, you are never done learning, and you will never know everything :)

I'm a mother to 4 beautiful little girls, and have been married to my high school sweetheart since July 2009. I am a mother, and I am a photographer. But I am not a "mom with a camera". I am a photographer who also has children ;) I take my job- my CAREER, very seriously and respect the industry in everything I do. I'm also a pretty bad blogger, so that will explain why it's constantly out of date, but I try!! :)

Connect with me on Facebook to stay up to date with session sneak peeks and vital information. Thanks for stopping by!

    xoxo

Baby Adelynn

Jacqueline is a photographer as well, so I was super honored when she chose me for her daughter’s newborn session! She was such a sleepy little chunker and did amazing. And when I say chunker, I mean chunker!! I loved every second:)

Jacqueline - Awwww, Amy I never saw this post until now!! I love it <3

Baby Alexa

Remember Sophia? She is now a big sister! Alexa was a surprise miracle baby and I was so thrilled when Marvella contacted me to book some sessions for her! I’ll also be shooting her 6 month and separate family session later on, too.

Declan turns 1!

Sara booked a session with me last year for her handsome little guy to be taken this month. He showed up happy but was soon a grumpy bear and even after driving 2 hours, she was ready to take him home because she felt bad- I however persisted and got him smiling and happy with a little bit of patience:)And we got so many great shots! Thanks for coming to see me, Sara:)

1:1 Mentoring with Jen

On March 7th, I had a 1:1 with Jen- since the precious weekend I was supposed to have a 2:1 workshop that was postponed because of weather, I was able to transfer those models to this weekend (they were both 5 days old as of the previous weekend so they were still perfect ages even a week later!) and didn’t have to go through all that pain in the butt process again of finding models and explaining everything, etc. Plus I hate canceling on models- makes me feel bad!

Our first little lady was beautiful and sweet- she didn’t care much for sleep, but we still got some beautiful shots.

Then we had a handsome little man that just melted us. He was so good, too!

Wall backdrops from Fancy Fabric & Props. I prefer and love their wrinkle-free fabric!

Newborn headbands and the ball cap both from Adorable Props.

Two of my FAVE vendors!

At this point in time, I’m no longer offering workshops aside from what is scheduled remaining this year. If you would like information on those, check out the blog posts for the Nashville workshop on June 3, or the Chicago workshop on August 5. That’s all that remains with open seats!

February 21 Newborn Workshop

This is one of the last workshops I’ve taught at my own studio since i’m retiring from them. We had a really sweet little guy. He didn’t sleep during his session and when baby #2 cancelled, mama offered to bring him back- I prayed and crossed my fingers he would sleep the second time, lol! And he did, like a dream:) and I had some really amazing girls that attending to learn from me- which still blows my mind, even 3 1/2 years into teaching them!
