  • WELCOME!

    You found me! I started business in September 2009 after working with newborns for 6 months but wanting something more. I wanted the freedom to flex my creative muscle and also do more than just newborns! Almost 6 years later I'm back at where I started, specializing in newborns but adding kids and families in there too :) I have pulled away from weddings and workshops (which I started teaching in 2011 across the country) now that we are expecting baby #5! Ever since the day I started, even before calling myself a business, I have worked at bettering myself through various mediums of continuing education in my field. I believe that no matter how long you've been perfecting your craft, no matter who you are, you are never done learning, and you will never know everything :)

    I'm a mother to 4 beautiful little girls, and have been married to my high school sweetheart since July 2009. I am a mother, and I am a photographer. But I am not a "mom with a camera". I am a photographer who also has children ;) I take my job- my CAREER, very seriously and respect the industry in everything I do. I'm also a pretty bad blogger, so that will explain why it's constantly out of date, but I try!! :)

    Connect with me on Facebook to stay up to date with session sneak peeks and vital information. Thanks for stopping by!

Sam & Nichole’s Maternity Session

I’ve known Sam for YEARS and met Nichole back in 2011 when I photographed their wedding (and then got to photograph their legal ceremony in NYC in 2013! It was awesome!! Central Park!!) Now these AMAZING, kind, loving and huge-hearted women are going to be parents in just a few weeks. I’m so beyond excited…we can’t wait to meet you baby Clifford!! You’re going to have an incredible life with these amazing moms!

Julie - What beautiful photos. Congratulations!

Baby Dante

I first met Melanie and Eric back in 2011 when they booked their wedding with me through a friend’s referral. In 2012, I photographed their beautiful wedding only 2 weeks after giving birth to our third daughter, Avalyn. While I missed my little girl, it was an incredible day with a lot of wonderful people:)3 years later, I had the honor of photographing their first born son, Dante. When Melanie got ahold of me last year to book a 1 year plan for this baby, I was beyond ecstatic! She brought some goodies for him, items from when she was little, some things from his nursery, etc. We didn’t get to use them all, as Dante was a little stinker for a while and wouldn’t sleep- but once he did, he sacked and I got as much as I could before he woke up again a little bit later. We got through all the poses, just not all the props:)I think we are going to use some of them during his 6 month! Check out this sweetie. He was a big boy, too!! 13 days old and he felt like a 3-4 weeker to me. Lol!!:)

Colton is back and is 6 months old!

Colton came back to see me- another 3 1/2 hour drive each way for them! I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate all of my clients, but ones that drive like this just blow my mind. Thank you so very much! You have no idea what it means to me.

He did a lot of smiling, and a whole lot of spitting up and ruining his clothes, LOL. We recreated the Monsters, Inc from his newborn session too!

Branded USB Drives from USBMemoryDirect.com {Photography Products}

A while back, I received an email from the guys at USBMemoryDirect.com asking if I would be interested in testing out some of their USB drives. Although I love my Artsy drives and how they are custom printed with an image etc, they are a bit pricy and take FOREVER (sorry guys!) to show up. I mean 7-10 days from ordering and when I have a rather quick turnaround editing, it seems silly to hold those images until the USB finally shows up, even when I came home and ordered it the night I shot their session. So I end up sending out online download links- then I’m still sending a USB just for physical purposes. And overall, it seemed pretty redundant. So I said sure! I sent them my logo, and USB Memory Direct quickly got back to me with a couple of mock-ups and I decided to go with the silver on white drives. Once they shipped, they showed up super quickly and my package of 25 drives were shining and ready for test.

So far, so good! The only downside was that my logo is pastel (my own fault, not theirs!) so it doesn’t show up quite as boldly on the stainless steel print area, but it still looks great. I love that they have a little loop where you can insert a ring or chain to hang it on your keyring, or wherever may be convenient for you. They have different memory sizes, but the 8GB works perfectly for my client sessions since I’m primarily a portrait photographer! The transfer speed is quick, and the swivel is sturdy yet glides easily, and overall, I’m very impressed. Here’s what mine looked like- the logo is printed on both sides:)The picture sucks, but it’s pretty hard to photograph on stainless- especially a light-colored logo. Lol!

If you want to check them out for yourself, you can visit USBMemoryDirect here. They have several different styles. Some are pretty crazy sweet!

Until later!
