I’m way behind on blogging, but told myself after I spent a ton of money buying a ProPhoto Blog that I was going to use the stupid thingSo the next several posts will probably be short and sweet until I’m caught up. In January I had the pleasure of working with Kaela of Pea Pod Photography. Kaela came 6+ hours from Wisconsin just to work with me! Our day didn’t go as planned unfortunately- we had 2 newborn models set up and the first one no-showed. I wasn’t able to reach them by phone/text/calling a family member, anything. Total no-show :/ The second model backed out because of car trouble. In the meantime I called a high school friend that JUST had a baby girl- she was 5 days old. Luckily they were available right after a doctor’s appointment and could come over! Kaela and I adjusted our schedule accordingly and moved things around- we were covering newborn posing etc, but also lighting, working with on-camera flash (she had a wedding approaching soon) etc. In the meantime, model #2 called back but at that point I had to turn her down because it wasn’t going to fit in the schedule anymore. Baby Brylee was our only model of the day, but she was SO well behaved so we were able to cover EVERYTHING!
After working with her, we went to taco bell/subway and then spent about an hour at the antique store before Kaela and her mom headed back home. It was great spending the day with her and getting to know such a wonderful, talented person. Here are a few images from baby Brylee’s modeling experience 😉 Enjoy!
