This is a session I was really looking forward to- I’ve worked with Rachel & Ehret before, about 2 years ago. Back in 2010, I donated some gift certificates for a 1-hr session including a CD to a silent auction to benefit an old friend who was fighting lung and liver cancer. Sadly, he passed away a few months after, but I do know that the money raised from the auction helped his family tremendously, especially with the insane medical expenses. Rachel bid on and won one of the certificates, and emailed me to set up a session of her and her boyfriend Ehret, on their farm. We had a great time, even though Ehret grumbled through most of it. Supposedly, he admitted afterward to having a good timeHere’s an old image from that shoot. Now don’t judge me, I’ve come a LONG way in the last year and a half
A year later, after he proposed (yay!) Rachel contacted me about being their wedding photographer! I was excited to say the least, and am super anxious for their August reception! They chose to get married in Myrle Beach in July, but I’ll be the designated reception/formal pictures photographer for their all-day party when they return in August
We decided to do a snow engagement, not only because their photos before were in the summer, and the wedding was going to be summer, but because I have maternity leave scheduled March through the end of May, so that kind of made spring photos impossible anyway 😉 He didn’t grumble this time, and Rachel said he was actually asking about the images after they got home, anxious to see them. LOL. Rachel’s already booked a Trash the Dress session with me for post-wedding. Excited for everything this year has in store with this sweet and fun couple! Thank you again Rachel & Ehret, for choosing me to share these special moments with you.
